will most xp drivers work in vista if its a 32 bit or 64bit driver depending on the version i have installed? i currently have xp pro 32bit and want to install vista on my second drive to try it out. if that doesnt work, is there a place where drivers are available?
thanks!

i actually found some of those today so i think i'll have what i need for the most part. what about the SATA raid drivers for when your installing windows...would you still need those in vista i wonder? and what about the nvidia system drivers for a dfi lanparty sli-d?

Depends on what version of Vista you have.
I haven't had any joy getting RC1 (5600) installed on an array no matter what drivers I try.
I hear that the latter 5700 builds have nVidia RAID drivers built in and installing is painless.

You'll be glad to know that Vista includes most of the drivers you'll need...on my nF4 platform Vista (x86) saw everything except the Creative sound card at first boot.
Vista drivers from nVidia are available here. (http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_downloads_rel70betadriver.html)

How about Intel / 965P? I searched Intel's site, got nothing.

thats right!

vista detected my NF4 raid array without any aditional drivers.

the only thing it didn't install during installation was the creative sblive!. but that was solved with a simple search internet for drivers. finally that function actualy works :woot:
