Well for those who loved MBM and think like me that no other monitoring software comes close to it here is somethig.
I installed and played with MBM all day today on my P5B Deluxe.....
Cpu and System temps are the same as asus probe, and i also configured, Vcore, +12v and +3.3v rails, on my machine all those things show the same as Asus Probe....Temps were the same from the start but voltages i had to adjust....
What i need help with is for someone with a PSU that can adjust the rails to check the 3.3 and 12 rail voltages, and also if they can figure out what the +5V rail is....im thinking that its the sensor #5 but i cant adjust it to show the same as probe
just instal MBM and extract the data folder from the zip, and replace the mbm data folder with it.....this is far from done, but hopefully with some help we can set it up right

lol guys thanks but, it wasnt that hard, i just chose P4P800 Deluxe (i think) in the configuration wizard and then manualy played with voltages, it just took a long time comparing the voltages and calculating the right value, although i still cant get +5v, didn't get anywhere with it, if someone has adjustabe PSU that would really help....oh ya since i have a 120mm 1200rpm fan on the cpu header witch is "Fan2" i had to change the fan devider for it to get measured, but the file i uploaded is without the change...well anyway im really happy i just love mbm even like this its more than enough for me, since i only care about the is the temps, vcore and the 12 rail, my 5 and 3.3 are almost rock solid, but what im mostl happy about is the logging since its logging just cant be beaten
if someone wants to try it on other asus mobos that would be cool, to see if it works on the DH, 64, etc, it probably should anyway

Very nice to use MBM again thanks for your effort :toast: It works fine for me although cpu speed reports default multi x fsb bios instead of the 8 ive set.

i also noticed that on core temp, orthos and rmclock, i guess just the way some of those apps read the cpu speed i guess they ignore the set multi

RMClock== Rightmark CPU Clock utility? Are you using it to throttle down your C2D when idle? It doesnt seem to work on my machine. My A64 allowed for 7 or 8 multiplier settings to throttle down. The E6300 only has two :( .

what makes MBM better then pc probe?
Millyons
11-08-2006, 02:26 PM
lol man better dont ask that.........lol jk, mbm is probably the best monitoring software there is, and specialy better than probe in way too many options to list.....well this is just my opinion but im sure ppl that used mbm would agree

I like it displays -0 instead of 257 for 0 on probe. Other then that they report the exact same here..

Thanks for the hard work, I wish this had been around a few months ago - I have ended up changing to the combination of systool and Samurize - but the only thing I miss is the great averages/high+low page of MBM.

i found one bug, that the cpu temps sometimes shows like over 10-15c higher than it should, when i reset the mbm its fine after

updated data files.....
i had to make couple changes to make it work right with FCG core temp plugin
ps: if anyone has a modular PSU cha you check if the +5v rail is the right one, im not too sure about that one

I've found that Millyons data files will also work with the P5B-E in addition to the P5B deluxe. The 5v rail reads funny but everything else is just fine.

guys just ignore the +5v rail, like i said im not sure about it....
when you install mbm all the voltages are scrambeled as you might know if you checked it out before putting the data files.....the way i figured each voltage is just monitoring and comparing with probe, but the main thing i needed to figure out the voltage is for it to have at least some variation, like my +12 goes from 12.20-12.25......basicly i took each sensor and tried to monitor and watch how it acts when i set it up, until i see it shows the same as probe all the time with same interval....it took quite some time to do it, just as an example what stock mbm was showing as Core 1 that is the 12 rail, what mbm was showing as +12v rail Might be +5v or who knows......
the whole issue with +5v rail is that mine just Does Not move, its fixed at 4.99v and what ever i do or what ever i turn on, it just doesnt move, and there are two more voltage sensors left that could be it, and they are both pretty stable, so i just cant figure out what one it is if my rail doesnt variate at least a little bit, it is no problem to make it show exacly +5v but that does not mean it is correct or even that it is the 5v rail.....

OK I can figure out the +5v rail but i need ppls help
put these in the data dir, turn on voltage 3 and voltage 5 so you can see them on the dashboard. and also turn on asus pc probe.
what i need is:
idle:
voltage3:
voltage5:
probe +5:
load:
voltage3:
voltage5:
probe +5:
try running orthos, rthibli, atitool scaner or anything that stresses the system, few apps at a same time would be the best, just to try to drop the voltages
also if someone can try to just look at voltages for a bit and see if any of these two changes to a diffrent value at the same time as asus probe while switching between idle and load (both probe and mbm have to be set to 1second interval in options),
so if like probe shows 5.00 and these two also, and probe drops to 4.95v to see if any of these two drop at simular time as probe to a simular value (it could be a sec before or after)

I have a P5B-E so I'm not sure if I can do you any good but your data file seems to work fine on my board so I suppose the test will be valid on it too.
Running Orthos Blend
Idle
Voltage 3--varies between 3.16v and 3.22v, jumps around alot
Voltage 5--5.07v never moves
Asus Probe--5.12v very steady
Load
Voltage 3--varies between 4.28v and 6.40v, jumps all over in this range
Voltage 5--5.07v never moves
Asus Probe--5.09v very steady
The 12v and 3.3v both give the same readings a Probe does
Hope this helps

Is this the latest version of the config file?
Also Big.Wayne: which sensor did you use for SATA Port 0 and 1?
thanks

I've just built my 1st conroe rig, coming from AMD. I'm a graet fan of mbm & appreciate the great work Millyons, freecableguy & every1 is doing to bring it to this platform.
I've followed the following :-
1) Install MBM - mbm5370.exe
2) Install MBM5370_3 Patch
3) Install coretemp_mbm5plugin_winxp_11 - see readme for more info.
4) Install P5B Dlx config copy files to Data Dir.
5) Set Up:-
Vcore v Change to SB(Sata)V
+12v Change to SB Vcore v
??? Change to FSB Termination Volts
+3.33 change to +5v
Temps
Sensor 24 to Core1
Sensor 23 to Core2
Checking mbm to Asus Probe2 :-
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~chsmith/MBM/MBMvAsus_Probe2_1.PNG
Good News:D
Have identified 3 new voltages :-
Southbridge Vcore
Southbridge Sata
& FSB termination volts
Bad News:rolleyes:
Lost
12v
3.3v
vcore
VDimm
The bottom part of the MBM Dashboard shows the unknown sensors.
Any help with finding the missing values greatly appreciated:D

Hi Supershanks,
that looks promising, how did you find the new sensors? I don't believe I even have vDimm myself at the moment? that would be cool as would the others. I wouldn't wanna lose vCore though!
Big.Wayne: which sensor did you use for SATA Port 0 and 1?

Big.Wayne: which sensor did you use for SATA Port 0 and 1?
thxHi Stx, I went 'General' settings > scrolled down and checked the two boxes next to hard drives, then apply, exit, restart. Then when you boot up again, launch MBM and go to temps and do the drop down box, you should see the actual hard-drive sensors appear. Hope this helps! :)

@Big.Wayne that looks promising, how did you find the new sensors?
Must admit it was more by accident than design :D.
I just did as i said in my earlier post & thern noticed that the vcore & ??? where the same values as asus probe.
Vcore v Change to SB(Sata)V
+12v Change to SB Vcore v
??? Change to FSB Termination Volts
I have the Winbond W83627DHG chip Think there must be some info in the voltage 8~16 sensors but all i'm getting are zeros. Looking at the Voltage.ini
LM78 is configured fot std, epox & tekram, these seem to cover the 1st 7 voltage sensors, so iwhat is set up for sensors 8~16??, does the voltage.ini need editing i wonder??
