I am getting two upgrades. I have three upgrades to go from.
-Another GB of RAM.
-A Pentium D proc.
-A second 7600 GT
You can see everything i have down below.
which will give me the biggest performance
boost?

I am also throwing out there that I could
get a C2D 6300 and a new mobo, but that would
eliminate the RAM and Vidcard upgrade, so I am
very skeptical.

Please give me an honest answer.

What you use your computer for most? If its gaming i would go for a C2D and new mobo. Save the ram upgrade for when you get Vista and wait until march/april 07 for a mid-range DX10 card.

E6300 and mobo for it like the Asus P5B. Beats the crap out of any Pentium D. After that you can buy better videocard and more memory :)

I am a gamer. I wanted to get a C2D, but more so the 6400.
Maybe I will get the Mobo and RAM for now.

Anyone else?

Could someone gimme their answer as if C2D wasn't mentioned?

Just get the E6300 and oc it to 3.2GHz or more, that will improve the performance of your system a lot, hell it will improve if you just keep it at stock speeds. The P4 sucks just so much when compared to C2D. If you're gonna keep the P4 and the mobo just buy more memory. You're gonna be cpu limited if you buy second 7600GT.

- Another GB of RAM - If you buy another GB, its not really going to help you that much at all. Also you be getting DDR2 667, which is just a waste now, knowing you be getting a C2D down the road.

- A Pentium D proc - garbage processor, not worth the money. Maybe getting an 805, but thats hot slow little bugger in comparison to the C2D. I know this becuase thats what i used while i wanted for my C2D.

- A second 7600 GT - Maybe help you now, but with DX10 just weeks away, not really much point in putting more money into DX9 video cards.

So as most people said, going for C2D makes the most sense at this point. Don't cheap out, buy some good stuff and you have a good platform for the next year or two as you upgrade around it.
