Im reinstalling xp, but i my xp cd is version 2002 with SP1A. This is will be first time i will be optimizing windows and using some of programs in the sticky to get rid of alot of the crap that comes with xp. I want to stay clear of automatic updates and other things that communicate with microsoft servers.
My questions are:
Can you use the ryanVM integrated files on a windowsXP disc with service pack 1a, i.e. will it update & integrate my disc to have service pack 2 and all the hotfixes on it?
Do you recommend nlite or ryanVM integration app?
And do i use my original xp CD?
Or
would i be better of installing my copy of windows, then updating to SP2 which i alrdy got downloaded, then using autopatcher xp to update to all the latest hotfixes?
What do you think?

No, you need a Win whit SP2 integrated (Post-SP2 Update Pack).

RyanVM's would be nice for a future "reinstall", if you already installed Win you'd be better whit Autopatcher, you could use nLite to integrate SP2 in your Windows build (same as Ryan's - for a future reinstal).

If you're reffering to the same pack, you'll have to integrate SP2 first and only after this step you can continue whit RyanVM, because this pack (RyanVM) has no SP2 within.
PS.Use the latest Build of SP2 - 2600.

Ok so just to confirm:
1. Integrate service pack 2 using nlite?? (is there a guide to show how to do this)?
2. Integrate the ryanVM pack.
3. Install windows
Thanks for the help so far :)
