Ok, I just bought a x850 CF edition Connect3D graphics card, and I was looking to flash my x800GTO to an x850xt bios so I can use that with my CF card. I currently have it flashed to an x800xl with 16 pipes, but doesn't work with the x850 CF card. So I was searching through BIOS's here (http://www.techpowerup.com/bios) and didn't know which one to choose. My x800GTO uses 2.0 samsung ram, and was wondering if I can flash it to a bios that uses 1.6 samsung ram?
Thanks.

Before you go flashing for a higher speed, stop for a bit and find your max mem + CPU OC. Largely this will dictate what is and what is not possible for you. For example, on my X800GTO I was able to unlock to 16 pipes but no matter how low my temps were I could not OC to X800XT speeds (I blame it on the lack of power connector, I needed more volts).

Once you have established that your video card can in fact run at X850XT speeds for sure, then you can start to play with your BIOS.

Assuming your card can take the core/mem speeds, I think it's safe to flash with the BIOS from a card with 1.6ns RAM (someone correct me if I'm wrong please)... but if you want advice from the person who made the best X800GTO flashing guide out there, I might suggest posting this question on TechPowerUp's forums because video card flashing is what 90% of that site is about.

Ok, I guess i'll post there :)

My Card will run 550/550 without any problems, which is above x850xt speeds (520/540).
