Hi! I got a 2 GB Dual Channel Kit DDR2-800 F2-6400PHU2-2GBNS Intel Only.
Unfortunately I didnt see the Intel Only part on it. I got an AM2 board from MSI:
K9N Ultra-2F.
Well, I never had problems with Windows XP so far until I recently. Copy operations and gaming application abort now with system errors. So I ran
Memtest from http://hcidesign.com/memtest/. Immidiately I got error messages. Then I used MemTest86+ V1.65 and had over 21.000 errors
with default bios settings. Then I changed the Bios settings manually
to 5-5-5-5-15 and repeated the test. Only 14.000 errors.
I assume the RAM isnt really faulty, but that the errors occur because of
the "Intel Only".
Any ideas what I can do? Is there a way to get the memory to work properly by changing some bios settings or is it a lost cause because of "Intel Only" ?
