Hey guys, I'm not sure if you knew or not, but someone released the final release version on mozilla's FTP site last night by accident I gues? They seemed to have pulled it by now.

But if you missed out, then no worries because RC3 has been said to be the same, apparently there will be no changes other than name between RC3 and the final release version.

Now I have some questions for experts out there. I've been using version 1.5 very happily. I got really comfortable with it, so the fact that version 2.0 switched from one (x) button for highlighted tabs in order to close them one by one to each tab having their own (x) button to close them, really bothers me!(a reason why I didn't like opera as much for quick web browsing)

I might've explained that bad, but do you know what I'm talking about? How you close tabs, from version 1.5 to 2.0..but anyways does anyone know how to get around this? To get the old way back, maybe through some extension?

If not I mind as well just switch back to 1.5.

Thanks

Do they have undo close tab built in now?

I'm still on Firefox 1.0.x because the extensions I need are not available for 1.5 and 2.x.

Yes, you can just right-click the tab bar and undo-close now

Type "about:config" in the address bar and press enter, go down to the preference named "browser.tabs.closeButtons" and change its value to "3" to move the close button back to the right side of the screen("2" gets rid of the close button altogether).

Just switched over to 2.0 earlier today and it bothered me enough that I had to find the solution :D

Turbox997: There is an extension made for 1.5 called tab mix plus, it will most likely be updated for 2.0 to give you the choice to change it back to the way you like it. I think the writer mentioned in a week after the release it would be out.
