This should be a good game for strategic and tactical gameplay (my favorite) and I will be buying this game for sure. It supports DX10 as well.

This game looks great from the DX9 images

This game is said to be the spiritual successor to Total Annihilation. I have been a TA fan since it's release in 1997 and was very active in the TA community up until around 2004. I have been waiting for this game ever since Cavedog Entertainment went under. :)

That game is a must have for rts fans.
It has that many features, youdont even know where to start hehe.

I am not so sure about the DX10 part. I dont think it will be much better looking than the DX9 engine, as it only uses sm2.0 afaik.
The main focus is to make the game playable on a big variety of computers.

According to a German games magazine, its being released at 01/03/2007.

Cant wait to play it :D

correct game is dx9 with Sm2.0.
Will run on Dx10 hardware but the game itself isnt Dx10.

Alot of people think Supreme Commander is Dx10 cause its called a nextgen game.
But it isnt called nextgen cause of grafix but cause its the next big step in strategy gaming.

game itself supports Dual core and should also fully support quad core.

am atm trying to get my hands on the beta demo

I been playing the Beta for about two/three weeks now .. runs very well on my system, no crashs so far. Overall, just a really hard game (learning curve), i been playing CoH, Warhammer, etc and it has never taken me so long to get a hold on a game. I probably played 15 games and maybe won 2 or 3 again just the easy AI. Hopefully when the final version comes out there be a good tutorial and stragegy guide.

Ye the AI is pretty good.
From what I have seen, the game needs some balancing. Whoever builds the first experimental unit, has almost won. They are way too overpowerd.

Been playing this beta for quite some time and I am very impressed.

There WILL be DX10 stuff for those with the cards as stated in an interview with Chris Taylor.

There are balance issues but it's not with experimental, Currently one of the factions has a highly advantageous tech 1 unit that when massed early can completely ruin the other players chance at building a stable economy. Currently in Beat 49, I have been told a new one is coming tmrw, hopefully balance issues are addressed.

Yea it is a pretty hard game but once you get it you will see that easy AI is retarded like seriously, i beat easy AI on my second try but i had a friend helping me.
