View Full Version : Poor TCCD Timings

I've had my TCCD for about 3 months now, but I really want to tighten the timings since they seem quite loose. Rock solid on the following @ 2.7v

EDIT: Larger Image Here (http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=a64info2te7.jpg)
Can anyone help me or suggest timings to change? I'm all ears for any setting change. Heat is not a problem, as my rig is quite cool and idles at ~19-20c as the winter months begin.

you're running 300Mhz ?
try 2,5-4-3-8
if that's stable , try 2,5-3-3-8 . This will only work if you have really good TCCD ram. Maybe you need to bump up to 2.75 or 2.8 vdimm (but don't go higher for safety)

I'm afraid of using 2.8v or higher. It reports as 2.7v right now, and 2.5-4-3-8 doesn't work :( Crashes Orthos @ <30sec.

Try the following, starting from 250MHz with 2.6V, find your max stable with these timings & voltage.
Then go to 2.65V / 2.7V and try again for more with the same timings.
tCL = 2,5
tRCD = 3
tRP = 3
tRAS = 5
tRRD = 3
tRFC = 15
tWR = 2
tWTR = 2
tRTW = 4
RWQB = 16x
BM = 7x
Dynamic Idle Counter = Enabled
tREF = 3072 or 3120
Drive Strenght = Weak

No go :( I really don't want to push to 2.8v, I really think it won't be good. Is 2.75v good enough?

you'll be fine at 2.8v. i ran tccd 24/7 at 270mhz with 2.9v and 2.3-3-3-7 timings. i would say the max to run it at would be 2.85v though. heck i even benched the TCCD at 3v.lol. just run 2.8v through it:).

put some air circulating over them also, at higher mhz they tend to get warm
mine started to crash around 280 or so.
you just need to run memtest86 test 5 or something. change the timings to whatever you want, then change the mhz until you are only getting a handful of errors on each test. i would say, run test 5 about 10 times a piece, and write down the results. and only change one thing at a time
i would try a data drive strength of maybe 2 or 1. 3 seemed to be the worst for my sticks.
7 and 2 works good, but for mine , after a lot of testing, 5 and 1 worked the best.
its not something you should be able to do all in one sitting, just take your time at it and work your timings out.
if i were you, i would start with kakaroto's guide if you havn't
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57317
and then go from there. those are a good set of timings to start off on.
2.5-4-3-7 shouldn't be that hard to do, 2.5-3-3-7 will take a lot more work in getting the correct settings.
i can post all my old timings here if you want, thats if i can find them. best i ever got stable was 295 2.5-3-3-7, and screenshot was 322 same timings

Will Do :) I'll try that later when I'm not writing a school report.
