View Full Version : Graphics Card Issue - Doom 3 - Please help.

Just to say, This is a G-Card problem for a game, so I hope this is the right section to post this.

Basically. I have a Nvidia GeForce 5200 Graphics card, with 128mb Video Memory.

Thats more that enough to run Doom 3, which requires any geforce card, and 64mb video memory.

but, when I run the game, I get this problem.

I see it may be something to do with my OpenGL. I dont know the first thing about OpenGL, and was wondering what anyone knows about it, and what files I need to run the game. I really wanna play this game, and would appreciate any help you can offer, thanks.

Which CPU do you have?

Is your GPU 64bit memory or 128bit memory?

My G-Card is 128mb Memory. Tahts all I know.

your game install is fubarred, and you might not have proper dirextx installed.

and dont expect to do anything good with an fx5200. they are the :banana::banana::banana::banana:tiest of the :banana::banana::banana::banana:. was my first card, and man it sucked balls, and that was 4 years ago!

128 millibit? That's low :)

You have incorrectly installed drivers. Your OpenGL.DLL (or opengl32.dll) is corrupted, possibly by other drivers or Windows update messing with it or overwriting it. Reinstall the NVidia drivers.

In the future you need to state your OS and version and your driver version with questions like that or people will boycott you even if they could help.

You will not be able to play Doom3 on a 5200 with 64 bit memory width.

with that cpu and video card i wouldn't expect to play doom3 at anything other than lowest quality everything, with all video options off or minimized, regardless of what it says on the box for minimum system requirements.

His CPU and RAM may allow to play low to med at the maximum but his GPU may not.
