There appears to be quite a few differences in this model as opposed to the 750W model, the fan RPM has increased from 1900-2300 RPM, and as such it pushes more air...quite likely louder as well.

They state 16dB @ 1300 RPM, also there are now two hard wired PCI-E connectors on the main unit, two more are modular...as such this is quad SLI ready. The SATA connectors has been bumped from 6 to eight, most likely four connectors on one cable as opposed to three,

layout and design of the PSU itself seems different to the 750W version, the amps have also been boosted. It's rated for 62A on the 12V rails...with 12V3 and 12V4 being 30A each, while 12V1 and 12V2 are 18A..same as the 750W (which had all four rails at 18A).

I would image we're going to move above the $200 range for this PSU, comments?....anyone have one?

look at the rated ripple on the 12v lines! 240mV!!!!

thats TWICE the slack atx standard!

Is the ripple thingy bad?

Bad for your components, yes. ;)

ATX spec is 120mV on the 12V rail.

The higher this number, the worse.

More stress on the filtering mechanism on your motherboard. Not very good for your GSC's and OST's :D

what do they mean with "unflappable current delivery"?

i have never heard the word unflappable before.

Unflappable, in this case implies the PSU should be stable under heavy loads; usually used to describe people who are cool under pressure.
