Well I've looked at Chemings a lot because they're fairly cheap and fairly large. I'm just wondering if anyone has any experience with a Chenming or any experience modding one. I really need a new case and I don't want to spend like $150 on one. So does anyone have any experience with Chenming? Easily modable for water? I'm thinking about maybe getting one of these cases, a Swiftech MCR220 rad, and some hole saws to cut out holes for air flow/radiator mounting. So...any experience/advice?

I have this exact model in black except w/window in the side panel

It's 1.0mm SECC steel, so it's really heavy. It's also huge, very stable and has loads of drive bays. Has plastic feet and door, and cheap plastic 80mm fan clips (mine are light purple:rolleyes: ). But you can easily mod it to accept 120mm fans front and rear. Plenty of room on top for multiple fan holes.

I have a BigTyphoon mounted in there on a naked X2 3800+ and there's a full 4-5 inches from the top of the fan to the side of the case. Also I always hear claims that steel isn't good for cooling, but I get outstanding temps on just air in the Chenming:fact: .

Yeah I have a steel case right now and it was a :banana::banana::banana::banana: to put a hole in the top for my fillport, but I managed to do it (punch out...great tool). That's one of the few things I'm really concerned with about the case. I hate trying to cut steel, lol. But if there's lots of room, then...I might have to get one soon.

actually I looked at the pics a little closer and I have this one:
cmui-601aeb-w (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811125475)

the 601 is a huge case, the 901AD must be a monster:D @ almost four inches taller!

I kind of dig the sideways PSU mount. Looks like the bottom half of the 901 is the identical chassis of the 601, even the crossmember is in exactly the same place. To the top they added a couple drive bays and turned the PSU 90 degrees.

The 601 is Nice indeed

I have two of them

Even nicer though once you mod the living hell out of them:D

I used to have a chieftec bigtower which is just another chenming case. Very easy to mod. Lots of space to mount anything. You could have fit an elephant in there. However, they are really thick steel so be prepared to waste a lot of dremel cutting bits.

They make aluminum models too
