OCZ DDR2 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-8000 / 1000MHz Gold Gamer eXtreme XTC Edition Dual Channel 5-6-6-15 OCZ2G10002GK
Has anyone tried this ram yet? What is the highest it can run? Is anyone able to get tighter timings one it? It seems like not a lot of reviews have been given about this ram.

Not really answering your question but I think that the RAM should be sued for product misinformation, since how can faster RAM help in games? But I have heard generally bad stuff about OCZ... well not as such bad but no one has been happy with it

So faster ram won't help me in games that much? If not im just gonna go with corsair 667 and overclock to 800

Bad things about OCZ? Where and why would you hear that?
If anyone ever has any trouble with their OCZ product, that is why I am here.
Tighter timings, etc will help in games. The fastest you can run with the tightest timings...still nets the best performance.
How do you sue Ram? pretty sure its just an inanimate object.
John,
You won't see much, if any, higher than 1000 MHz from these. Tighter timings might be possible with more voltage, they are Micron IC's.

yeah my response was worded poorly to say the least, let me reiterate.
Basically what I was trying to say is that I have not heard of any spectacular overclocks coming from OCZ, except one person on the gigabyte bios board. But in general i have heard nothing.
And what I said about sueing was a complete joke... I was saying that they shouldn't advertise a product as being "Gamer eXtreme" when it will not help gaming performance by much if at all.
Hope that makes more sense :)

at that voltage 4-4-4-12 should be easily attainable! (with any ram for that matter)

Well that will help gaming some, if not a little more...

waitttttttttt, how tight of timings do you think i can get at 800mhz or 1000mhz at 2.2 vThey are rated 5-6-6 at 1000....so I doubt you will see super tight timings as 1000.
Now at 800....you might get 4-4-4 or 4-4-3 or 4-3-3...its all going to depend on the IC's on the modules you get.
We have kits that are rated at 1000 with tighter timings....so these are not going to be quite as good as those.
