How do I know if I have the C3 memory??

it will be written on the sticker
XMS___6400 is 5-5-5-12 mem
XMS___6400C4 is 4-4-4-12 mem
XMS___6400C3 is 3-4-3-9 mem

ahh, don't worry about it. There are a some chipset timing tweakers that can allow you to mess around with the RAM timings. I could get my OCZ to 3-4-3-4 even though it's rated 4-4-4-12 (stable). but it'll affect your frequencies (it was running at like 600mhz.
