Not sure if this is the place to ask, but is it possible to get hold of Tricolour LEDs that have white as one of the colours? Ive been looking for a while and im yet to find any. aA linkage to an EU/UK supplier would be great. Im not too bothered what other colours it displays as long as it deffinately does white, although White/Red/Blue would be perfect.

Im still having a hard time tracking any down. Radioshack doesn't seem to have any. Any other suggestions?

Would you be happy to swap-out the LEDs..makes it a lot easier to hunt things down :)

Thats what im trying to avoid. I know I can easily get hold of various colour LEDs, but I want to be able to change colour at the flick of a switch. I know one option would be to set up several different colour LEDs and simply cycle between them, but due to the location and space these will be going, this is not ideal.

Try a place like www.digikey.com They have a UK site. They have numerous red/green/blue LED's listed that can create white light when all three colours are turned on at the same time with the correct intensity. I've used some Nichia Full Colour LED's (http://www.nichia.co.jp/product/led-lamp-full.html) on a few of my projects.

^^ yeah what he said :p:
It would be pretty much impossible to get a tri colour led with anything else but R/G/B, but with these you can make any colour, even white
