Well the OCZ pc2-8000 Titanium Alpha memory I originally baught could not go past 450mhz:mad: so I sent it back in exchange for a new pair. OCZ is now saying they don't have the parts to make those models at the moment so they're gonna be on back order for a very long time. So instead Im going to do an exchange at the store I baught them from and I was thinking Id go with Corsair's XMS2-8500 C5 2X1gb sticks. I was considering the corsair 6400c3's but ill end up paying an extra $40 or so, where as with the C5s I'd be getting back $80! So is it wort it just to get these C5s over the C3s? Is there that big of a difference between the two?
Thanks:toast:

Well, 6400c3 is the best d9gmh out right now period. 8500c5 are not bad at all, but 6400c3 are overall better imho. Both are awesome kits, just depends on how much performance your really looking for :)
my guess would be 8500c5 = 520-570mhz c5 and 6400c3 550-600mhz c4.

mm.. for me i'll choose the 8500.. :D there is a little performance gain in conroe proc using a low latency rams.. much better in having a high FSB.. :D and I think additional voltage can tighten up the settings of the 8500 corsair.. :D

Well I think Ill stick with the C5s. The slight difference in mhz is not enough to justify the $120 price difference for me. Ill be putting that extra cash towards my gpu phase change unit instead.
Thanks for the replies they were a help:)
