They're not right at all. Maybe they worked on RC1, they don't on RC2.
On my system first restart after installing I got into XP, on the second I started getting a BSOD on boot - the culprit, one atikmdag.sys.
Did some searches and I see this is popping up a bit.
The built-in XP drivers are fine for running Aero...But not so fine if you have a quirky monitor like my Samsung 204b, for which I have to use "Reduce DVI Frequency on High-Res Displays" in Catalyst, otherwise at 1600x1200 my monitor flashes on and off constantly.
I really don't see how they'll have this crap ready by February or whatever the current date is...
Vista still having problems I think with Marvell onboard Ethernet too, but in RC2 it was working fine for me.
oh - and I know you're going to try to install them anyway, you can get back into Vista and uninstall them by using "Last Good configuration." However the ATI uninstaller doesn't work, you have to use the Add/Remove programs to get rid of Catalyst, then you can manually kill the device drivers.
