Hey guys, I'm sticking with s939, and in fact I'm in the market for some new ram. Out of the following xtreem group, which one would you all recommend:

Micron 3-3-3-8's
http://www.tankguys.biz/team-xtreem-cronus-3338-pc4000-micron-p-1542.html

or

Cronus 2.5-4-4-8's
http://www.tankguys.biz/team-xtreem-cronus-25448-pc4000-infineon-p-1545.html

I know it seems obvious because the Cronus has better timings but I just wanted some input, of course cheaper is better, but if its worth an extra $40, I'll go for it.

I could've sworn they had samsung's before that matched the gskill HZ's specs!!! But apparently not anymore. These sticks will be paired with a Dualcore, most likely an opteron 165 or waaay above, and yes, of course I'm looking to overclock.

MY GOALS:
CPU@ 2.8-3.0ghz primestable w/ RAM@ 270mhz(+/- a few mhz's)

I know I put some decently high standards but I know it's not too hard to wish for, :D

So what do you guys think, what ram can I get a way with??? I'm also open to other RAM recommendations, as long as they are 2GB kits and around $200-$250. Thanks.

you wont feel the difference in performance with those timings
micron clocks pretty well can do few mhz above 270
other recommendation G.SKILL pc4000 HZ but currently out of stock @ newegg

Ah yes, I've always had my eyes on Gskill HZ's, I should've bought them when they were like $145 back in the day. That's why I'm looking at these guys, I hope its not true, but I heard they weren't going to ship anymore gskill HZ's(DDR1)?

It is pretty disappointing CPUs, video cards prices going down but ram going up
We want price cuts to get ram for vista.
I ve also had my eyes on patriots pc4000 they rose from 135-180-240

The C2PT kit is amazing I hear... the Mushkin Redline is great too.
Other than that, TeamXtreem all the way.

Yes team xtreem is very nice, it seems as if they use the same chips as other makers but they dont' charge as much of a premium for their name. One of the xtreem kit's use Micron's(rebranded equivalent to crucial ballistix?)

And another used to use the samsung chips with identical timings to the GSKILL HZ's. Only for less money.

EDIT: DANG!! Crucial Ballistix lol..lets just say thats a sick kit...
