I was lookin' around and a actually I'd be oriented to a pair of Mushkin Redline 4000 XP...but also G-Skill HZ should be good or Corsair...

What's your opinion guys? :)

yeah, only two problems:
1. performance for micron based ddr2 is usually best at higher mhz, 4-4-3 or 5-5-4
2. he's looking for some ddr1, not ddr2 ;)

Brando, what's your rig? ;)

Redlne's use Infineon CE-5's I believe. They weren't the best clockers either. I will highly recommend the G.Skill HZ's, however, newer reports say they dont clock as well. It's kind of the luck of the draw. So, either of those two will be good.

Also - the HZ's I had were able to do 280 1:1 @ 2.65v.

I can do 280 perfectly stable at 2.6v on my G.Skill HZs. I can get them to boot at 290 at 2.8v.

Even if he did want DDR2, your images didn't really help since nowhere in your post or sig did you state what RAM you were using. I personally know that it's Cellshock having read your previous posts but DioBrando might not have seen them :) :chicken:

ive been very impressed with these mushkin blues. Do up to 220 at the stock 2-3-2-6 timings, did up to 250 at cas 2.5, never tryed 3 because my mobo will only go to about 260 while it is unmodded.
However, if you want THE best, i remeber some Gskill that was rated for DDR600, at 2.5 Cas. Gotta use em on a A64 though. That was the best for the DDR1 era.

G.Skill FR, FF, LB and LA all had ratings of PC4800 (600Mhz DDR) and were Samsung TCCD based but the largest available capacities were 2 x 512Mb sticks :(

And what about Crucial Ballistix (mounting Micron -5B) and for example GSkill 4000 HV (Infineon CE6)?

I've seen'em get 300Mhz and more...

The Crucial Ballistix used to have the habit of dieing sometimes heat issue at regular 2.8 v and sometimes they just pass out
The g.skill hz should be better than hv

well the BEST overclock 1GB DDR was Micron -5B D (has a habit of Dying)
And the ABSOLUTE BEST DDR Controller ON EARTH, is AMD's s939 IMC
NO ONE Can claim for it to be any different

Wasn't the best MC inside of s939 in the Toledo core or the San Diego core?
