Hi.

Are these PSU's any good?
I'm looking to replace the 360w PSU that came with my chieftec dragon case a few years back. I'll be wanting to go Dual Core soon and think I must be right at the edge of the PSU's limitations at the moment.

If not the Akasa, anything else for around £60?

I dont really understand about PSU and rails and stuff.
I've checked on my asus probe & currently getting 11.094 on my 12v rail.
Is that any good? Can you tell how much juice capacity I have left based on that?

Am I wrong or aren't these Enhance units just like the Silverstones?

I've got a 460w PaxPower running in a single core opteron on an A8N, can't fault it - quiet & cool & sensible voltages. It's 24-pin & has an 8pin EPS on there too iirc, it was cheap too :)

I'd take the 500w Paxpower's 3.3v and 5v rails being rated higher as a warning though. I'd try to find out what the 12v combined peak power is before calling it equal to the ST50EF.

Does anybody know the combined watts on the 12V rails then?

I've tried Google and still can't find anything on it. :(

(That thread link doesn't work)

This is the model I have: http://www.akasa.com.tw/akasa_english/spec_page/psu/spec_ak_p050fg7_bk.htm
