View Full Version : Should I get 800mhz memory for a mobo supporting up to 667mhz memory?

like the topic says.

and I'm planning to get DFI Infinity NF UltraII-M2.

I'm wondering it the extra cost of 800mhz memory over 667mhz is worth it since the mobo only support up to 667mhz memory.

It supports 800mhz memory, you just have to manually set it in BIOS. Motherboards when they say "Supports XXXmhz" means that they will set it to auto of XXX and you can fix the timings/mhz yourself.
