I just got my righ back up and running, this motherboard is amazing but the only thing i have a problem with is the temperature probe seems to report something different in smart guardian, NTune and the bios are all different from each other. smart guardian and the bios are about 2 degrees apart. i have popped my IHS off of my chip what should my temperature offset be set to in the bios to correct the issue? any one know? I didnt find anything saying this was a knowen issue.
Thanks

how about actually telling us the temps? ;)
keep in mind that the bios isn't really an idle state. temps will be lower in windows.
ntune is a flaming piece of crap. :fact: :lol2:

yah ntune its crap but i got it installed any how just cause it intigrates its self into the rest of my nvidia control panel so what the hell lol ill attach a pic of my smart guardian which is basicaly the same as the bios but a few degrees off on idle. temps idle in bios is about 28 voltages match tho. Stressed in windows it reads 32*C

stressed with sp2004? what are room temps? judging from pwm and chipset temps, i think it's reporting a little low.. :p:
just set the offset to +10 and call it a day. no way you can really know what the temp is

then i would just ignore the actual temps and keep an eye on how much it deviates from "normal"

It totally "normal" for eXpert to show TOTALLY WRONG TEMPS
It's lowers the temps from about 10 to 25 *C!!!
In my case it's 15*C
Here U have a full picture of situation:
DFI Expert CPU temp sensor reporting incorrectly?

DFI should shame :slapass:
Only direct core reads and external sensors reads can be true in eXpert case :D

use core temp to see your cpu temp in Expert ..
and new bios from official website have CPU temp callibration option in BIOS

But the calibration gives Yoou only +/-10*C
The MoBo has the difference to 25!! And mostly about 15*C.
That means +/-10* is to narrow for most of eXpert Users.

Mine was off by +2. Too bad they don't allow more adjustments for you lol.
Last I followed the development DFI had never put out a repaired BIOS for Expert's temp reporting.
