Has anyone had any issues with their video card performing beyond POOR with Vista?
Actually, what I'm getting - is artifacts. I have the Asus P5B Deluxe/Wifi and it has happened with Vista RC1 and now RC2. Guild Wars, in Full Screen just WON'T render correctly. Artifacts EVERWHERE.
Maddeon 07 will artifact on occasion and Battlefield-2 does the same thing.
I thought it was a bad video card. But, I installed Windows XP PRO on the same machine and everything works PERFECTLY under XP. I've tried looking for clock values to see if its overclocking the card, and i can't find anything.
I've turned off Asus C.G.I. and PEG LINK is now set to SLOW.

Interesting, just found this article

In a nutshell, Vista has a routine built into it - that slices up your system ram and shares some of it with your GPU to help get Aero up and running.
You can see this on this on the Video Drivers TAB under "dedicated memory" "shared memory" and "total memory"
Can't be 100% certian, but i'm willing to bet this has something to do with the artifacts. Now, how to PROVE IT - becuase so far, i can't DISABLE IT.
I'm not a REGISTRY junkie, but that is where my search will start.
