Hi there,
My first post here!
Ok,so i'm planning of upgrading my rig.I'm not going to change that much 'cos dx10 will be there soon and i think that that moment i'll change like almost everything.I'm quite new in the o'clocking world,that's why i'm going to o'clock with this rig and not with a new one.
So,let's see...i still would like to have some comments of you about improving performance on my current rig.
I've now these components:
Asus K8V DeLuxe(Zalman NB cooler)(really sh*t for o'clocking=>not able to lock AGP)
AMD 3200+ s754(TT SilentBoost cooler)
2x512mb pc3200 DDR(with some infineon chips?)
Sapphire 9800pro(Zalman zm80c-hp and some passive chips coolers)
2 x 80gb HDD Maxtor(1 Sata-RAID0,1 Ide)
SB Audigy1
Tagan 480W PSU
TT Xaser III Case(modded air intake and exhaust icw Hardcano)(original fans)
What have i bought till now for upgrading:
DFI Lanparty UT Nf3 250gb
2 x 512Mb pc3200 OCZ DDR400(2-3-2-5)
WD Raptor 74gb 8mb cache
And for cooling:
Digidoc 5+
12cm PAPST fan for intake(will have to mod the case)
12cm PAPST fan for side panel intake(again modding case)
4 x 8cm PAPST fans(1 intake,3 exhaust)
Zalman CNPS9500LED
TT Extreme Spirit NB cooler(PAPST fan)
Extra Chip coolers
Still need a better VGA cooler 'cos i'm planning to do some Vmod on it.I was thinking about something pretty "Extreme" :explode: Like a big CPU cooler on the VGA,after modding it a bit... :cool:
Ok,i would appreciate if you had some comments on my current plan.I'm open to hear your two cents,but justify your comments if possible.The rig will be used for gaming and o'clocking.And...games and OS will be loaded on the Raptor and "my documents" (mostly pics) will e saved on the other HDD's.
