I know back in the days the memory stick with smaller capacity generally runs slightly quicker and oc better, but how about now? Is it the same? Which oc's better.. 2 x 512 G.Skill PC800 or 2 x 1GB G.Skill PC800?

Even now is it safe to say that the smaller amount of RAM is a bit quicker than twice the large amount of RAM, 1 vs. 1 stick?:stick: Help plizzzzzzzzzzzz:stick:

with ddr2, the normal chip density is 512mb, meaning that all the 512mb sticks are single rank versions (8 chips) of what the 1gb sticks (dual rank, 16 chips)

so overclocking between the two is very similar, assuming comparable binning and a motherboard that can drive the 1gb stick. for the latter reason, 512mb should be a bit faster on average ;)

for performance, at the same timings and mhz, 1gb sticks are faster. more bank interleaving :D
