How do i save internet cache

How can i make it that my internet cache isnt deleted every time firefox crashes or i turn off the computer without closing firefox?

This is very painful because i use dialup at home.

I am not a Firefox user, but I think there is an option for it in your Internet Settings.

it saves if i close firefox properly, but if it crashes or i reboot before closing firefox, then all my cache is lost
