I build a similar unit some time ago, and the case was damaged in shipping progress because of the heavy compressor in the bottom. The bottom of the case was bend a little bit.

That looks like a big de-superheater! What gas will you be using?

So does the de-superheater compromise with the smaller condenser :)?

Very Very Very nice.

Awesome setup, like the rubber bushings under the metal plate for the vibration. Keep up the great work and keep the pic's coming.

Really like the idea of placing extra footies under the compressor to avoid case bending. Very very neat. The only thing I´d add would be one of those transparent enclosures :D

I hope to have a similar setup. I have the Silver series of that case w/ a Mach1 going into the bottom ... course I have no idea where my unit is anyways.

Are there any performance figures?

flexline looks a little long since the cpu socket will be located near the bottom.

Marvin

great as usual.

flexline looks a little long since the cpu socket will be located near the bottom.
i am not sure of this, but i think you can change the motherboard tray position.
So the flex is very fine.

You can't. It's tad too long but might be able to make U bend sort of ...

Gray Mole
10-11-2006, 11:12 PM
http://www.picturehosting.com/images/GrayMole/dsc03241.jpg

U-Bend like that. That will be in V2000 when my hand heals.

In a way it's better that way, no danger of being too short, will reach no matter where socket will be. Some flex lines will hold shape well (like one in pic) so no real stress on head/mobo when attached.

I like the clean build, but I worry about the base with no tray for support. I see the extra wheels for support but would not want to ship as the Alu is very thin and I could see it being damaged in shipping.

Otherwise. very nice work LD :toast:

Little Devil is building me a V2000B similar to the one @ this post :D
It won't have a controller, but hopefully it'll look better that this one :)

Tiborr, are you the one who supplies material to LittleDevil?

tiborrr
03-17-2009, 06:56 PM
That's great to hear, Peter! Be sure to post pictures of your unit here when it arrives from LittleDevil!

No, it's probably the other way around - LD is supplying me with evaporators and hold-downs from time to time :D

i often see the compressor comes with the radiator ...

have anyone tried to add MORE radiators on the compressor? will it helps the efficiency?

so... are you making v2000's with a quiet water cooled phase??? if so id like to trade in my jinuss for a down payment 120V 50 or 60hz only

PeterW_R
03-21-2009, 03:48 PM
Nopes, He's installing the radiator to cool down a couple Geforce 280 GTX and the motherboard chipset, We'll be using 4x120mm Scythe 1600 rpm 88CFM fans.

LD is gonna put sound dampering arround the phase change unit to make it quieter :)

Just a shame they no longer make the V2000 and harder to find a decent one. I just got a V1000
