There are quite a few that own a MM UFO here, if you search you will find plenty of pics and case mods, also hardware configurations

Here's mine

Best case ever owned in terms of cooling. Most versatile design ever. Easiest case to work in it.
Cons: Doesn't have usb ports.
Doesn't come with bay covers.
I had some problems with the mobo tray when installing my cards.

wow for a case that expensive the cons are a downer.....

love the case though, but no usb, no drive covers and mobo tray issues:slapass:

No grounding issues. Nothing like that. The problem is I cannot install a add-on card without taking the whole tray out of the case. It's not a big issue since it's very easy to do but still pain in the ass to disconnect all the cables and unscrew the mobo tray then put everything back in. You see when I ordered the case I selected the E-ATX mobo tray option (+$7.50) because I wanna upgrade my rig to a dual cpu work station in the future. That may be the cause of my problem cause I'm currently using an ATX mobo.

Owned one of the first generation ones. Before they changed the fan placement to fit the 3x120mm radiator.

The frame welding was shotty at best. They didn't weld all the nuts to the back of the motherboard tray for the motherboard standoffs. Their design required half-height motherboard standoffs (meaning motherboard backplates could be an issue).

None the less I keep checking their site to see if they have managed to create that perfect cube case yet. I don't think that including dual PSU slots was a good idea (and they charge you $30 to NOT cut one). They also charge you an extra $30 to include a window color thats included for one model but not an exact option for the model you want.

my good ole U2-UFO - I just got tired of them after going through two different U2-UFO cubes with many many projects of mine, and I needed something different

I went with a Lian Li PC-S80B this time around with silent aircooling (but I DO miss the U2-UFO dual loop water cooling setup)

if you have the cash, need the internal space, and have room for a 18x18x18" cube - in all means, go for it! I loved mine but I just needed change after a while

Changing from a cube to a regular case? Can u pls explain me your reasons?
I've opened a case project myself and i'm thinking all the possible solutions.

BTW going from water to air? That's a suprise... ;)

Sneaky is that swiftech HydrX that you used in your loop in that link? Did you ever have trouble with it clogging anything? If it isn't HydrX what is it?

When I go watercooling I want a green loop but I've heard that HydrX can clog stuff up pretty badly. I haven't found an alternative yet.

OT: Shift, your avatar is freaky....

my reasons: I needed a smaller, lighter, more portable case for LAN's, especially small ones just going over to a friends house with 2 or 3 other people in thier basement

water to air: I wanted to watercool the PC-S80B, and still sorta do, but the case isn't going to allow it to be done as cleanly and easily as I hoped for... so I'm running on silent air for the time being, with temps being surprisingly good (didn't have to drop any over my overclocks from the water setup in the cube)

I would never use HydrX in my loop - its distilled water w/ 5% antifreeze, and FrozenCPU.com Green UV Dye (this stuff is so concentrated that its dark red in the bottle!) :)

You should look at some of the other cases to come out of MM's. Especially Bob B's from Mass. Bottom of the first gallery page.
