Simply NOT wanting SP4...

Guys, is there a way how to extract the USB 2 only install from the SP4?
I need USB 2 speed and deviced detection and I did not want SP4 at all, so I trying to find a way, how to integrate USB 2 into SP2. Is there anyone who did it?

Anyone got any recommendations?

It probably could be taken easy from some of the roll-up padkages, but witch one and where and how... that is the question ;) Anyone can help, please? :toast:

Well I must say that SP4 is a must, at least it was until I found Microsoft Windows 2000 Unofficial SP5.1.2195.21 (http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Microsoft-Windows-2000-Unofficial-SP5.shtml) for my cosin's PC but if you have problem whit changes you could try this (http://www.usbman.com/Drivers%20and%20Patches.htm) .

Thanks. Anyway, there IS a official M$ solution there:

Okay, with friend help (no, no way I allow M$ messing with MY windows) I managed it, so for anyone that want the USB2 official M$ update w/o hassles and SP4, there it is:

However the lame Sapphire bios probably did not allow the USB to work at all

I need XP now to test out the reader in my Grouper mobo - just to realize that unlike W2k SP2, my XP SP1.0a completely FROZE my computer when I insert my Flash Voyager USB 4G stick into my front USB port...
It freeze my machine so bad, that not ever reset help. It HAVE to pull the cord, actually... And some bios settings are lost, eh, last time I checked XP and USB on Grouper.

Side note - Grouper bios must have USB issues.

Side note 2nd - W2k did not froze, witch make me hate XP even more (curses, curses and again curses) ...
