Hi!
I managed to get an Favre FACR/01-14-27R (27,5 BAR) security valve that I'm thinking to use in my cascade and a-cascade projects.
Does it fit the requirements for these systems?
One more thing, the out (where the red cap is in the picture) is to be free to air, right? We don't connect nothing there, right?

I don't have an adapter from 1/4NTP to something... can I braze a copper tube to it, or it has components that can't be heat?
Regards!

yes one end is to be free to be in open air and preferably aimed in such a way to not be able to hit you so should it ever fire you will not be shot.

in some case the release is required to be outdoors, but just pipe it away from you.
you can't heat that, they make fittings that are you braze onto the system then thread the releif into it. they even make T's that are braze x threads x braze.

Thank you all for the replyes.
It cost 18,5 euros.
Where I bought it they haven't adapters... Can someone send me a couple of adapters (in T format would be nice, like wdrzal said) for it (I plan to buy another valve)?

I use Refco relief valves, which opens when the pressure gets too high. When the pressure gets lower again it closes again. Costs 15€
I think your valve must be changed for a new one, if pressure got too high.
Your valve has one 3/8" SAE and one 1/4NPT connection. I don't think that one has to be free. Just put it into discharge line, or ask the guys where you bought it to be sure.

I never used that brand name but they should close, the seal just gaureentees the factory releif setting has not been changed. they are basicly a seat with a spring hold the seat closed. the more you screw down the collar that retains the spring the higher the psi. thats just a tamper seal.
do some research on manfactures site.
