It's my brother's computer.

Conroe E6300 on stock cooler.
P5b-dlx wi-fi edition.
1gb (2x512) xms2 ram
evga 7900GT
Nspire 450W PS with 25amps on +12V

EVERYTHING IS STOCK. NO OVERCLOCKING.

As soon as windows loads, the computer restarts..over and over and over.

I went into bios and cpu is 47deg.... all stock settings.

Also, when i turn the computer OFF, the mouse light stays on (Razer Copperhead)

Please help :(...

try safe mode, try bootable CD with memtest on it, reseat RAM, check power supply and connections, make sure you haven't got too much load.... need more info - is this a new build or somehing that has stopped working?

What happens when you boot in safe mode? Have you tried memtest, re-installing Windows, etc?

its been working for a week.....it just started doing it.... how do i get into safe mode? i tap F8 and it keeps bringing me to Boot devices...

testing with memtest now since i dunno how to get into boot devices...

My sister watching a movie on it... DVD using pOwer DVD..
The screen went blank for a second and came back...then it was fine for about 10 minutes and did it again...it got worse and worse and then when i restarted.... it started doing this whole thing :(

any idea why the mouse light stays on while the computer is off?

Yeah, likely a corrupt driver. I had the same issue when ATiTool profiles got corrupted, but that isn't the case with you (no OCing and probably not using ATiTool).

As for the mouse....it means it's still getting power. The P5B doesn't have that remote power-on IIRC though....but it's probably worth a shot to try different ports.

Also, do you have a keyboard power-on setting enabled? If you do, it might keep some ports active to allow them to turn on the PC.

i do have atitool installed..... .just not using it.Does it start up with Windows? If it does, try uninstalling it in Safe Mode...might be a really easy fix (driver problems are no fun :().

Your PSU is the culprit. Too much for it to handle.
Probly you can try another psu?

i had a same problem right now
with the corsair xms 6400 ddr2 800, my pcc kept restarting
with the p5w dh -
it would freeze on memtest, i tried some crucial redition from my friend some cheap memory and it worked like a charm

it might be ur memory.
