Hi

Well after assembling my brothers rig, i couldn't for the life of me get it too boot. After some fiddling i decided to unscrew the tuniq tower a little, and low and behold it worked  (note, his rig is identical to my sig, which hasnt been built yet)

I had it pretty tight, but there was around 5mm of thread left visible on the mounting screws. Right, i got into the BIOS and reset the default settings, but everytime i restart it this comes up:

'Intel cpu uCode loading error
Press F1 to continue'

So in teh BIOS i disabled the F1 options when errors are detected, and am now about to install windows.

Is there something up with my cpu ????

cheers, i was going to do that as soon as windows was installed. It's installing fine and my tuniq feels cold to the touch. It's the 0204 at the moment (i think) so will get the 0614 straight away.

Im soo glad that the cpu isn;t dead as it would be a pain in the ass to remove the CL liquid metal paste :D In the BIOS the cpu temp sat at 31 degrees. Is that pretty good, or will i have to wait until load temps to see if ive applied the LM paste properly.

P.s. I used the small LDPE plastic bag over the finger method. It worked like a dream !
