is powered on a 500Watts Antec PSU, no mods or overclock.

Very unlikely to be PSU overvoltage.
Looks like it was shorted out somehow. Are those the only damaged components?
Any scorching or marks elsewhere on the PCB?
Its almost definately going to be 100% dead, and 99% unreparable with that damage.
Unlucky.
Yes thats my old X850XT-PE AGP, i was just booting the system.. no overclocks or anymods coz its on my sister's computer.I dont have the card now as ive sent it to my retailer and has informed me its on the hands of the local distributor "Pending" if they will warranty the item since there are visible damages.. there are no visible damages else where on the PCB only that part...

overheating,
you can see that some of the chips have slid away from their solder pads, the liquid solder then probably bridged something and shorted those componets.

They overheated coz they were faulty in the first place? that part of the card is quite cool.

perhaps they faulted and that caused the heat...
Either way that stinks.

thats the suckiest part, warranty is still pending.. the local distro refuses to warranty it because it has a visible damage.. so much for them telling me that theres atleast 2 years warranty on sapphire cards.. they are sending pics to sapphire and waiting feedback.. and its taken 3 weeks already and no feedback yet.
sh*t hole sapphire said the warranty is voided!

reason? write a letter to your state's Attorney General regarding warranty fraud. make sure you CC someone important @ Sapphire on the letter.

That sucks man. I'm guessing the card isn't totally ruined, as long as you can get someone to replace the chips there. Getting your hands on the chips is the problem, though.
Good luck.
