I'll be setting up and testing next week, on the Abit Awd9 Max...
After testing the board will go to Johann, he can bench with it further...
The phase unit should be something real special, my E6600 can already hit superpi 1m at 4ghz with 1.54 vcore on water. On phase who knows, ultimatley I trhink I'll hit an fsb wall onthe 975 chipset. I'm awaiting DFI's new board....

Realy nice Johann, your customer will be very happy :)
On a side note, those little LCD thermometers are pretty good value for money. They only go a little off when you get down to low temps, for a condensor theyre grand. The blue backlight behind the large black characters looks damned sexy too! :D
Top notch work and attention to detail.
Tom
Thanks Tom and Luke! Sure the lcd's are great. They look fine and when not monitoring evap temps or sub zero temp works quite good. I found at around -40c they are about 5-7c off but at above 0 they seem pretty close

Shame we can't work together, would almost have a whole person :D
No biggie, I can't build it til my hand heals, but I DO need to know it's shape to be sure about how it will work for Mr. Khan.
Well, that and I want some time to drool on it before I have to send it away :slobber: hehe
If it looks as nice as your build when it's done I'll be pretty happy with it :)

Yeah you wont believe Gray, I got something in my foot no one of my age should have (27) Its some form of crystals in the joint, extreme pain. Apparently caused by Acidy stuff and alcohol but the weird thing is I dont drink much beer atall. Id have 3 or 4 pints on Poker nigth but thats about it.
Today the swelling seems down for the first time so hope its all better soon.

Its called gout isn't it Johann? Not nice at all. Whats with all you phase builders falling apart? As Gray says, maybe you should use all your working bits to make a frankenstein builder.:p: I was just thinking(I appoligise for thinking aloud) but would a tricolour LED work in the enclosure? That way you could change the colout theme witout having to mod the enclosure again? On a similar note, can you get tricolour LEDs that go to white?

Yeah thats what its called but I prefer to not call it that, my grandfather had it cronically. Yeah me and Gray had a laugh this morning, we decided he will carry me around on his back. His legs are fine and my hands are fine, with two brains we will produce some wicked phase units :D
As for the led's, thats a good idea for sure but to be honest I never really looked into multicolored LED's because we decided on the red theme from the beginning.
You do get white led's so Im sure you get some multicolored ones with white as one of the colors.

installed!!!, unfortunatley the only working mobo I have is the fsb limited Infinity..
excuse the somewhat fuzzy pics, my camera is not very good.

http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/5523/p1260016hl0.jpg
In any case with 1.6 vcore (bios) and dual orthos running at 380fsb (about the limit of this mobo on the older beta bios) temps are never lower than -44 on the evap under full Orthos dual blend test load, great temp I think. Unforunatley there is no software that shows an accurate reading in XP. Idle at this vcore (1.6) in xp is around -52 degrees.
http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/2752/unit3002nk1.jpg
I am going to leave Orthos running for a few hours to let the heat fully test the unit.. After 20 mins we are at -44 with 1.6vcore full load..

HI Guys
Conroe E6600, Johann left it long so I could bench with the unit too and also to allow a little flexibilty for other cases. Nealry 1 hour now of Orhtos dual blend test and still -45 on evap at 1.6vcore!

yeah man it's on low, I have not changed any settings on the froster, I have not even connected the froster to the seriel header on the mobo. I assume that's how I would change to high?

Are you using dielectric gerase?
thanks?

Unfortunatley this mobo is limited to 385fsb regardless of voltage.
I did have a brief run with the Asus P5WDG2 Pro before I killed the mobo,
temps were -45 on load at 4ghz and 1.6vcore. Here's a screenshot, ignore the time change in Orthos as I used microsoft time update server during the 4hour run, as can be seen on the screenshot.
I think the temps are excellent really for Conroe which seems to make most stock units struggle when at 1.6v and over.

I am using dialectric grease..

thats was quick getting that unit out johann :toast:
the DFI Infinity suck with their FSB limit, one of my customers was stuck at 377 i think on air, then even with phase no difference and water cooling on NB not 1fsb more, he only had a E6400 though.
i know i tune all my units with 1.7v bios, first turn on is the hardest part on the cooler.

yeah bro' I know this board inside out, it's just a stop gap while I await the new DFI boards. The Asus PRO had an fsb wall off 445 out of bios, and the cpu and unit creamed all of that without sweat. I WIl update this thread when I get a real decent board that can manage 500fsb, I don't want to commit to anything just yet considering the DFI RD 600 should be here soon.

with the new fan speed settings in the froster 2.7 software, temp is even better by one degree at idle -57 (1.4vcore idle) and -51 (1.71 vcore idle) and under load. -44 ~ -43 with 1.71 vcore (1.66 under dual orthos load), which is incredible!
