These chips are almost literally a dime a dozen, and i dont know if anyone has/runs one, but heres some good news that i happened upon by chance.
By removing one pin from the coppermine celeron it will run at 100 fsb. So I had a 700 celery with that pin broken off and it booted and ran at 1050 Mhz. If you had a 900 celery it should boot at 1350 Mhz, tualatin territory:D  . Its not much but if it helps anyone, then ??
If you look at the chip with the two cut corners at the top, on the left side, bottom corner, 4th pin in from the corner is the one. This may be old news for some.... maybe but ive never heard/read about this before.

wonder if that works for an xbox all it is is a celeron 733
you would have to unsolder that pin and cut it or insulate it so it didnt make contact

Well, it is a socket 370 cpu, I guess it would work? Can you post a pic of what pin to remove? I am willing to be a guinnea pig :D
MY old copper-mine used to run @ 10 X 100 and i saw another one whith unlocked muti up to 16

At that time some naughty retailers did it, remarked the cpus and sold them at a higher price.. :slapass: Even Coppermine 100FSB cpus were remarked as 133's. Intel's FIDENU software was my best friend.. ;)

Any idea if this will work on an intel i810 chipset? Only has support for 66/100 MHz bus, and the mobo manual says maximum supported processor is a 800 MHz P III.
I have a 667 Celeron (coppermine?) doing jack all back in India. It would be fun if i could run it at 1 GHz!!

oohhh boy this is gunna get interesting!!
so i wonder if this is all those guys did with those ram/cpu modded xbox's
i have the 128meg modded board but it doesnt have the upgraded cpu.
oh yeah time to pull one of my many spare boards and go crazy.
i just wonder if the ram can handle it ?
given the quality of parts i would think it could.

mine was a 700 and went to 1050 @ 100 fsb with no problem. Shouldnt matter what chipset you have as long as your chip is 66 fsb to start with and your board supports 100 fsb. Ill try to get a scan of the pin location diagram that i made.

Dont mess with the XBOX it will make your games run faster kind of like speeding up time.

i think you can do 100 mhz mod easy if you give it a lil more juice ( 1100 mhz ) it MIGHT need it, but maybe it's a good clocker. the ram should take it, i had some pc 100 that did 146 max, i think almost all ram can do that, it was micron chip too easy to find chip is -8eb in the lower righ hand corner

Is it prime stable by any chance? Tempted to get a 733 Mhz one...1100 MHz :D
On another note, I don't suppose there were any 66 MHz PIII coppermines about? They only came in 100 or 133 MHz Flavours iirc.
A shame...would be nice to have a 1 GHz Coppermine PIII....would run max payne 2 rather nicely :)
