For wich Mobo? - Vista like WindowsXP 64 is missing some drivers for 64 Bit version and it's not worth keeping Vista for 32 Bit version, WinXP it's more stabble at this moment.

Vista64 installed fine on my Ultra-D, only needed the audio driver.
I get the lines on screen issue when running in basic graphics mode (ie. no aero) and try to play anything in winamp.
Winamp not in the pie at all billdavis?

i just received vista RC1 on monday... since installing which was blessedly fast, i have been trying to install drivers and programs... well my sound driver (realtek) has a "known compatibility issue"... i thought this was a fairly common sound driver! my hardware monitoring software doesn't show my temps and 3dmark 06 bsods everytime i try to run it!! vista sucks! the just gave xp a shine job, broke a couple of things and added a couple of new broken things! granted this is only RC1 but still! i would have thought some xp programs would work! :spam:

Note: This is beta code and should not be used in a production environment or on a primary computer in the home. RC1 is intended for developers, IT professionals, and technology experts to continue or begin their testing of Windows Vista. Before you decide to use RC1, you should feel comfortable with installing operating systems, updating drivers, and general PC troubleshooting. Some risks of using beta operating systems include hardware and software incompatibility and system instability. If you have concerns about installing this beta software on your computer, we encourage you to obtain the final release version of Windows Vista when it is available in 2007.
Quit whining when it does not work for you. It is because you suck. :slapass:

Just to be different:
Is your computer 196Hour WCG stable? You're actually onto something.....
Vista, like OSX and *nix, is only fully stable at lower clocks (though not by a particularly large amount). It also is a LOT more stressful on the RAM, to the point where if you push your RAM past 24/7 stability for even a few hours, you have potentially borked your install.
Unlike XP....it will occupy and attempt to utilize all your RAM at once, for prefetching purposes.....hence the MUCH faster time-to-bork vs. XP.
