Has anyone out there had any problems running Steam under Vista? I just installed the 32-bit version of Vista RC1 and Steam seems to not like it one bit. I start it, it logs in, but I don't get to see the menu at all, it just freezes up. The one time I did get in I switched to the browser and it froze. Has anyone else had problems with any other games too?

Thanks, this is kind of frustrating. Aside from this problem though I love RC1. I know that it is not 100% yet, but it is amazing so far. I have had no stability problems as of yet, and it seems fast and smooth. I have had a problem with installing UT 2k4, it won't load at all, but I am trying to work on that. If there are any ideas on that too it would be great. Steam seems to like to cause me headaches, but I just love HL2 and CS:S so much, lol.

I have steam running on 64 bit vista with a few small issues. Mostly sound related when resuming from standby. Nothing that cant be dealt with though.

I can't really say, seeing as mine isn't working properly. But I am using Forceware 96.33, which is the newest Vista GFX driver for Vista I know of. As far a system I am just using what Vista loaded.
