I like both these cases (nod going to the 810 most likely).

But do I need to be careful in avoiding certain PSUs because they will mount on the bottom of the case and not the usual location?

I'm thinking mainly of airflow into the PSU, but come to think of it there may be cabling issues as well.

I have heard many complaints about the OCZ Modstream 520W, especially in the P180 Case. I have a CM Stacker STC-01 and I haven't bought this PSU because of this. They say its cables...suck big time. Too bad, it's a beauty and rather cheap for it's capabilities.

I think you should be more concerned about cable length, the airflow path to the PSU is usually being taken care of by the case designer.

Airflow is no problem in neather cabinet, but the length of the cables is an issue in P180, where you need some quite long cables, especially the ATX and ATX+12V/EPS12 cables, since the MoBo is placed up side down compared to most ATX cabinets.

The power cables on the Antec Phantom 500 are long.

The P180 is great for reducing noise, so is the Phantom PS..
However the P180 partitions the case.
My reason for getting the Phantom was that it would only run its fan when neccessary.

I didn't want to put an extra fan in the lower compartment.
Thought that would defeat the goal of an almost fanless ps.
But then again did not want to make the lower compartment a cooker.

So in my configuration, I took away the compartmentalizing material.
Let the PS use its big Heatsinks and waft the hot air upward.
Let the rear and top exhaust blow it out.

I dont use the lower drive cage... I didn't want to use extra fans keeping a compartment cool.

since the MoBo is placed up side down compared to most ATX cabinets.

Incorrect.

The Mobo is placed right side up in the P180.
If it wasn't the case could not be designated an ATX case.

It is the PS that is in an abnormal position.
The cables do have to be of reasonable length though.

Extender cables, cheap and do-able.. get em at any Comp store.
