Time to revisit this nice card but with Dangerden Acetal Maze LP waterblock http://i4memory.com/reviewimages/videocards/his/x1900cf/maze4lp/. Interesting to compare with my HIS X1900CF when it was on stock hsf air http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=105771 and to compare with my Gecube X1900XTX H20 cooled results at http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?p=43078#post43078

ATI Tool 0.25 beta 14 - GPU core clock tests with mem set to always 747mhz

This time not too fussed about small GPU volt increments so tested at the following

1.400v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = 733.50mhz Freezed
1.450v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = 745.88mhz Freezed in heat up phase (16mhz higher than on stock hsf)
1.500v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = 769.50mhz Freezed - 41-42C load temps (37mhz higher than on stock hsf)
1.550v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = 769.50mhz Freezed - 42-43C load temps
1.575v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = 787.50mhz Freezed - 42-43C load temps (18mhz higher than my Gecube X1900XTX on water)

Seems to use Samsung 549 1.2ns memory so probably explains the poor mem clocks on the card pretty much same as on air for now heh.

ATI Tool 0.25 beta 14 - Video memory clock tests with GPU set to always 621mhz

1.400v/2.086/2.086/1.486v = SKIPPED

1.575v/2.140/2.086/1.564v = artifacted at 859mhz

Tried ATI Tool 0.25 beta 13, Show 3D window stress test at GPU/MEM

1.575v/2.130/2.086/1.577v = 772/864 = froze
1.575v/2.130/2.086/1.577v = 772/841 = froze
1.575v/2.130/2.086/1.577v = 765/841 = ran for 8 mins fine at ~46C load temps
1.575v/2.130/2.086/1.577v = 765/864 = ran for 8 mins fine at ~47-48C load temps
1.575v/2.130/2.086/1.577v = 769/864 = froze

Settled on 765mhz GPU core and 864mhz on memory for now. Time to 3dmark and see :)

Okay seems 3dmark06 didn't like 864mhz on mem :(

765/859 seems okay for now with 6.6 official catalyst drivers.

i know that a X1900 card with 1.2ns will have less cold bug then X1900 with 1.1ns ;) .

I had a 1.2ns master that bugged at -5C. :( I hope they don't get much worse than that.

Seems like you got a pretty strong core and average memory. I personally like jacking the VDD up to 2.48v, always gets me a nice healthy boost above other settings. :D

I remember ^^^^ that card, it was pretty bunk. Turn up the cold, watch memory clocks just plummet. :( Definitely no way to generalize about the CB of a card, just gotta hope and test.

That's a pretty nice CF card there George....clocks a little better than my XTX under water stably (hence why I can only beat you in 06 and 01 :p: ). When will you run CF though? :) ;)

thanks guys

Gautum, does 2.48v VDD even help with 1.2ns X1900 memory ?? or you referring to XTXs ?

Yeah Yapor, my CF card core clocks better than my Gecube X1900XTX does on water (shows how poor my X1900XTX clocks lol)

I still haven't got my 2nd GPU waterblock yet so no H20 X1900CF/XTX hehe.. only one GPU waterblock between 2 cards LOL

Looks like if i max out VDDCI volts at 1.580v i can bench 873-877mhz on memory but 765mhz on GPU seems to be max for now :)

That´s one kickass crossfire master. XTX is usually better but this is something i´ve not seen before, great overclocker and nice scores.
My crossfire master is 1,2ns mem too, 2,272v mvddc and 2,171v mvddq works the best for me. Max mvddc is not a good idea, only make things worse.

Yeah my master is better than my X1900XTX heh

Okay retesting crossfire again but this time with HIS X1900CF Master on water cooling but Gecube X1900XTX on stock hsf air for now (so Gecube X1900XTX is holding me back until i buy a 2nd GPU waterblock :) ). Messing around with 3dmark06 and managed to pull into #7 place on Futuremark.com Hall of Fame http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/3dmark06/ by just 1 pt hehe (12810 vs 12809)

512MB HIS X1900CF Master (Acetal Maze4 LP) @765/877
+
512MB Gecube X1900XTX (stock hsf air) @725/868

Had to play with the voltages a bit more as too high mem clock = lower fps in 3dmark06 and thus lower scores.
