Hiya

I'm looking at buying a 580W tagan easycon, but am wondering if it's overkill for my system and the 530W version will do.

-E6300 (Looking to overclock it over 3.5GHz)
-Tuniq tower
- 2 gig TEAMGROUP xtreem PC2-5300
-Asus P5B-D
-HIS X1900XT (might overclock it a lot)
-Emu 0404 soundcard
-x2 SATA HDD
-x2 120mm fans, x2 92mm fans
-3.5" fan controller
-DVD-rw

USB peripherals:

- Logitech G7
- canon printer
- ipod
- saitek eclipse

Right, so im planning on cranking up the E6300 to within an inch of its life. As i have a lapped tuniq tower and a setup with fantastic airflow im not afraid to put up to 1.6V through the CPU, and over 2.3V into the memory. The X1900XT might be overclocked too when it begins to show signs of aging in 6 or so months.

SO, 580W tagan easycon a good choice, downgrade to the 530W, or try something else (max budget £85-£90). I tried a PSU calculator and it said i needed about 670W, which would mean that i had to get an 800W+ PSU

Thanks

Check this (http://www.jonnyguru.com/PSU/Tagan530W/) and you will know that you wouldn't want that PSU for anything. The Corsair HX620 PSU will do the job fine and is around your price range (I'm not sure of that tough as I do not live in the UK, this (http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?CSR-HX620) site makes me think it is on your price range).
