The eight queens puzzle is the problem of putting eight chess queens on an 8×8 chessboard such that none of them is able to capture any other using the standard chess queen's moves. The colour of the queens is meaningless in this puzzle, and any queen is assumed to be able to attack any other. Thus, a solution requires that no two queens share the same row, column, or diagonal. The eight queens puzzle is an example of the more general n queens puzzle of placing n queens on an n×n chessboard.

So, because CPU now is so fast we change chessboard (17x17) and number of queens (17). You can change it from 4x4 till 32x32. So, we have a program, like a SuperPi+Multi Core, that calculate and Bench your CPU…

- Write on clear assembler and "hand optimized" for Intel NetBurst,
perfectly work on AMD 64...

download from: http://benchqueens.narod.ru/
programmed by Black_mirror.
I am interesting in your result. -) Whose CPU will be FASTER!!!
P.S. Please, write your configuration in detail: CPU-vendor-name-freq.,m.b. chipset, ram freq and timings

My suggestion: to be faster, make "Real Time priority" from Taskmanager. -)hrvojezg00
Call "TaskManager" by pressing ctrl+Alt+del
Open tab -"process"
Click right mouse button on "Queens.exe"
and in "priority" choose "REALTIME".

Actually JP sort of told me NOT to do that because he said that he will guess what my system is once I ran the test.

So, he has to guess what my system is first. If he gives up; then I will include the screenshot and the system configuration details.

I am going to have to add the CPU-Z screenshot separately because the system is currently busy doing other things. How do you want me to arrange the CPU-Z screenshots? (i.e. one? two? more? CPU only? CPU and memory?)

Locki
09-21-2006, 02:10 AM
on screenshot must be
1. program with Result
2. CPU-z with CPU detail
3. CPU-z with Memory detail

on screenshot must be

3. CPU-z with Memory detail

I will try and get it all in one screen, but no guarantees on that one.

My system is currently busy doing other work/testing for me right now that is expected to take about a week. After that, it is being wiped, and Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 AS is going on it permanently.

The best that I would probably be able to do is to take the CPU-Z memory and CPU settings independent of the run.

Like I said though, JPQY has to guess what my system configuration is based on those results before I am going to be able to post the screenshot.
