Time for a break from Super Pi and get down to some 3dmark action :D

First time using Crossfire on P5W DH/E6700 combo so will be interesting :)

System:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 QPGA B1 Step 5
Kayl Black Frozen SS 1/4HP (http://i4memory.com/phasechange/kayl/p5wdh/html/)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe 1101 bios
512MB HIS X1900CF Master stock hsf
512MB Gecube X1900XTX stock hsf
2x1GB Gskill PC6400PHU2 2GBHZ Micron D9GMH (cooled by 120x25mm Thermaltake 81cfm fan)
74GB WD Raptor 8MB cache
Pioneer DVD-RW
FDD
700W OCZ GameXStream Psu (http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=2672)
WinXP Pro SP2
6.6 Catalyst official drivers

evap idle = -38.8C to -36.8C
evap load = -32.5C to -31.2C
room ambient = 28-29C

X1900CF/XTX Crossfire really pumped out some heat even at stock speeds set at 621/747, it increased my room's ambient temp by ~6C from 22/23C to 28/29C and increased P5W DH's motherboard reported temp from 28-31C to 35-36C

Jumped straight to E6700 @4304Mhz at 1.7 (1.66v) with X1900CF/XTX Crossfire clocked @621/747 with stock hsf fans set at 50% fan speed.

All below benchmarks are done in same windows session without rebooting.

compare it to my much lower clocked Badaxe run with E6600@3863Mhz with X1900CF/XTX @732/864 but with 3x320GB 7200.10 Raid 0 volume you can see HDD speed plays a bit part in Pcmark05 score.

Thats interesting .. 3D Mark 06 tests with clock 621/747 got same results as with my X2 same fps as you eva2000, i would expect more with conroe, thanks for test. Would be good if you could run it again with fraps + log enabled, i want to know how much fps drops, what are minimal fps.

what catalyst drivers ? 6.6 beta would give you 400-500pts more in 3dmark06 verus my 6.6 official cats i used above.

Okay retesting crossfire again but this time with HIS X1900CF Master on water cooling but Gecube X1900XTX on stock hsf air for now (so Gecube X1900XTX is holding me back until i buy a 2nd GPU waterblock :) ). Messing around with 3dmark06 and managed to pull into #7 place on Futuremark.com Hall of Fame http://www.futuremark.com/community/halloffame/3dmark06/ by just 1 pt hehe (12810 vs 12809)

512MB HIS X1900CF Master (Acetal Maze4 LP) @765/877
+
512MB Gecube X1900XTX (stock hsf air) @725/868

Had to play with the voltages a bit more as too high mem clock = lower fps in 3dmark06 and thus lower scores.

wow - very impressive! I am an UBER n00b to crossfire and these 1900s.. so what's the highest OC do you think I can run an xt + xtx pair on the default coolers? they run fine at 690/1600 but I have not pushed them any further than that.. anyways.. 73k on '01 is sick! lol. nice work. :)

thanks guys

punmbertot, www.mittoni.com.au is the newly appointed OCZ distributor in Australia see http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?t=3002 - they should have OCZ power supplies very soon i think.. currently no available in OZ yet

revenant, you can see my stock hsf adventures for

eva - thx for the URL.. I just ordered my EK waterblocks (full face with v-reg coolers) so I'm going to be able to play with voltages a little... air cooling these, even with great aftermarket coolers just doesn't seem to cut it.. if I OC my cores at all with the fans on AUTO I get heat related lockups after 1 hour of BF2.. not good! Anyways, your trial and error voltage testing chart is going to help a lot I reckon. Thanks again!
