Radeon 9800Pro Probs

Hi,

Yesterday I got my new Radeon 9800Pro built by ATi and I was pretty happy.
But I have some strange problems.
In 3DMark2K1SE I got only 18K point with my R9800Pro@420Mhz core and 360Mhz memory.This is slower than a R9700Pro at the same speed.
I'm using the Catalyst 3.2 driver.
What's wrong?Plz help me!

I think most people are saying that the drivers haven't been tweaked yet.

Now they are just building drivers for compatability. Wait a week or two and you should be golden.

I got 19278 at 428/375. Other hardware factors contribute to the score as well, cpu speed, fsb, mem timings, etc.

I know,but I think a XP@2850MHz is able to push a R9800Pro to more than 18K points.
I hope the catalyst 3.3 will "fix" this "bug".

Good news,
I reinstalled WinXP and all the drivers and now I got 20000 3DMarks,still with the original Cooler,but I'm waiting for my new watercoolingy system and a nice TEC for the 9800Pro!
I'm ready to hit the Top10 ;-)

where did u buy yours from?.... I had problems using cat3.2 on win2k so u might try 3.1

Well I'm noticing on these first drivers, that the antialiasing is NOT working the way it should.

First off, you can't use 6x AA and 16X ansi together, you CAN use 4x and 16x. That worked for me in D3D games. In counter-strike, which I use open gl as D3D is sluggish in CS, 16x ansi works perfect, but I can't get FSAA working at all!!!

Also sometimes the settings I picked, whatever they would be, wouldn't set. It would say it was enabled or on that setting, but it wouldn't "go". :\

Also, hydravision didn't work at all. I installed the drivers and hydravision told me I didn't have any installed. :rolleyes:

So far I am very unimpressed with these drivers. This is my first ATi card. And I am VERY happy with the performance so far, but this driver that came with it is PUKE. I can not WAIT for a good driver :P
