Yah I see ati is coming along in 06', they are def getting close. Not to take anything away from Kinc's great benching, but Sham's still fully on current gen and almost exact same setup...well maybe little better mobo than c19ref ;), so it's a little more personal to me. We have been battling back and forth almost whole time since 7900gtx launch and begining AMD dualcore era.

Yah, but diff setup(975x) on the orb, but not recognized in HOF. Sham is right there behind me in overall unofficial WR with the "outlaw" setup too by a few hundred I think.

ATI has clearly done something that shows good in 06 (it also shows in nature). Really wished I had a SLI motherboard to run GTXs on. I have two still with sealed ESD bags :) Crossfire is just a pain in the ass to bench on 6.8, especially with X1950+X1900. After windows is loaded im happy if I can start 3dmark after 10mins. Thats how long it takes to get everything right every time :( Im giving X1950+X1900 a last try tomorrow, 16400 could be tuff though ;) X1950XTX should be here on monday.

I saw Sham's run yesterday and it made me laugh his title. He has done well with that "feature filled" northbridge.

Looking at Kincs ATi scores sm3 is fantastic now but why is Ati so low now on Battle of Prox and Firefly when they are pretty good at it in 05 ? I know the 06 version has more in the scenes but it should still scale downwards the same you would have thought.

Has anyone got any thoughts ?

Maybe latency is more important for those tests Gddr4 starts at cas 12 while Gddr3 starts at 4.

Well KP as you very well know at this speed, the GPUs run a hit and miss... very very on the brink! I dunno if even 40 more points is possible on current rig,,, but are you sure u aint got a backup? :slap:

Im asking the same question. It lloks like more cpu helps alot with SM2 for ATI but i might do the same for NV. It is probably just because the master is clocked so much lower like in 05 there is no gain for me know
I could aswell run the slave at 780 and get same result.

Fatbodies did on it, Cas 3 - 2 - 2 - 1 - 15uS - 8T - 21 - 5 - 8 - 8 - 6 - 4 - 4 up to 410MHz 1:1 3D benchable with the DDR Maximizer of caurse at 2.67Vdimm... :)
