I know this is not a technical post, but where the heck IS everybody?!?!
Usually I've gotta sift through about 3 pages of threads every 3 hours or so. Don't tell me ya'll are getting out of the house for some fresh air!
Bored with your C2D's already? :D
Or...maybe we're all USING our computers instead of tweaking/breaking them. :p:

wth? did they just do that yesterday? That DFI rd600 thread was in this forum yesterday...
They need to do a lot of thread moves :\

Look up top... they did some gay thing and split the forum up into sub forums. Lame. I've spent WAY TOO much time sifting through posts to find the ones that I was reading. At least they could have done was made re-directs.
i agree with your concept, lol

Woah, I never noticed that! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?!?!
Yeah.
Two forums to read now.
And it's the same content in both :stick:

This is what happens when every brand motherboard, for every socket type, of 1 CPU manufacturer, is in 1 forum sector.....

I agree with the n00b section, but what's the difference between this section and Intel CPUs and Mobo's?!?! Is THIS not the technical section? Is the Intel CPUs and Mobos the technical section?
MODS!
Help us out here please!
My whole world has been turned upside down! :D :D :D

Basically, from now on, most threads that you have seen those past few weeks/months (help me, issues threads, system won't boot, what mobo is better, which CPU, etc.) they DO NOT belong in the main section but one of the sub-sections. Main Intel section will be ONLY reserved for results sharing and other "sort of contributing" threads.
Yeah. Two forums to read now. And it's the same content in both :stick:Not quite. We're in the process of moving threads around. In the result, Man Intel section will contain different types of threads and you can actually notice that already.
We're working on details and will post exact rules very soon...
Thanks! :)

Poncho, gay and lame comments are not welcome here. State why you dont like the section if you want to make a difference here.

Chances are it's in the beginner's area, something like 210 of the 250 threads I moved went there....and you can still search within the Intel forum by using the "Search this forum" hot-pulldown an inch-or-two below where it says "Welcome, FLG_Poncho." Very very few threads were outright removed from the Intel section. It's all still there, but it may take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with what's where.
Re-directs wouldn't have any advantage, the same mess in the front-end Intel section would still be there.
Is this system perfect? No. Are we done improving it? Nope. :)
EDIT: See, already another change....all back into one sub-forum :)

Yeah, man, why cant we get more clonethreads to view!? - Its so very awesome entering "xtremesystems" and view alot of clone thread with noob issues, really puts the xtreme-part in its place..
IMO:
Stop wastin' time on BS and start spending time on doin' some serious cleanup.. Its no freakin' wonder that quite a few old members havnt showed up for a long time on XS...
----
Now this is a 100% lame comment, but its true as hell, and you know it FUGGER.
XtremeClan section, what the f...?

Wasting time? We have been working on this for you guys and you come here and post this. If we do a serious cleanup maybe we should delete your post! We are working on the Intel section to make it better. To get rid of the multi posts on the same subject and post better stickies to make finding info much easier. Cuz I can see that some of our members still dont know how to use the search function.

Yes, it should have nowhere near as high priority as gettin' rid of the members that causes the noobiness...
And even more important, the ones that dont have any respect for the other members and callin' others ":banana::banana::banana::banana:" etc..
But sure, you can delete that post if you want to, doesnt make much difference anymore, as I told FUGGER the other night, Im considering takin' a holiday from XS, due the major lack in respect that obviously is acceptable.... Its been like 3 weeks since I told about an incidense that was so very very obvious, but nothin' happend, and thats just UNACCEPTABLE... Futher, I had a thread with pros/cons on XS, it got moved temporarial due it was to be checked if it was "ok", but I never got any featback if it was or wasnt, neither is that acceptable..
The priority-range is totally messed up.. XS is movin' from XS to mainstream-due-more-visits... And that just SUCKS.

@M.Beier,
Stop it, dude. You should be happy now, because the way we try to organize Intel section would only help you If you wanted to share some OCing results with the rest of us. Otherwise, your thread would get burried 3 pages down and nobody would even know it. Stop waisting time for threads like the one you meantioned (rate the staff or whatever that was) and do some OCing and brag about it. What's the big deal? No offense, but maybe you're right, if you can't find our efforts valuable - take a break from XS :fact:

I fail to see what all the shouting is about....I have read seemingly hundreds of posts lately about newcomers to XS and how they are ruining the site.
Last I understood, this site was a business...business needs to grow and expand and will do so under the direction of the business owner.
When the handful of you out there buy this particular business....then you can do with it as you see fit. In the same way that you don't give a regular Brick and Mortar establishment your business in the "real world", you can choose to leave this business alone as well.

We're not going to ban members because they know less than you M.Beier. XS can and will be a place where the top benchers meet, compete, and share, as well as place capable of helping the "little guy." Does it mean we'll turn into a worse forum for it? Well, if you're afraid of n00b-koodies, maybe....otherwise we'll just be a better forum. The front-end Intel section is back to the XS-way it was: product previews/reviews, some xtreme OCing, OCing results threads, etc. We also now have a subsection, out of the way if you don't want to read it, that is there to help everyone who may be having a problem with their new Intel rig. This is a drastic improvement that the staff is proud of and many members seem to already be taking a liking to.
Is there flaming? Yes, and we address when we see it. Is there more flaming than before? Yes, we also have many new active members and it has scaled less than linear (so we're actually doing better than we were before). Also of note is that we have very few incidents-after-first-warning.
It might be a good idea for you to take a vacation...in fact, I think you should take a vacation. Whether you do that on your own volition or we have to help you....that depends on your actions. There are many smaller forums around the net, none provide the quantity or quality of info we have here, but if you feel that XS is getting too large for you, that's your opinion and you can leave and post your OCing results elsewhere.

This overhaul was long overdue. The Intel section had become a giant mess. Threads with good information were often buried by ones asking the same questions over and over again. Good job, mods.
Also, regarding the notion that the Intel section has "slowed down", the thread starter has not been here long enough to know that things were much different a year ago. Last year, very few people posted in the Intel section. Most of the former Intel section regulars have left, perhaps because they became fed up with all the ridiculous threads that are now there.

We're glad most of you guys like what you're seeing. We've been working on the best ideas to get this high volume Intel area cleaned up without making things too difficult to find, nor alienating members that have different expereince levels or different reasons for being here at XS.
Thanks for everyone's patience:up:

The series of changes were quite turbulent, but definitely a welcome change. Now our only concern is keeping it clean and misplaced posts at a minimum-sounds like quite a challenge. :p: But couldn't have said it better than Sierra.

Lol, there is no thread in the AMD Information And Support:ROTF:

Monopol's a good thing :D
Just kiddin'
For the rest of ya, nah, I dont mind the many new people, but as I've stated before, I dont agree with the "less flaming" part, and I still think more ressources should be spend in order to get it fixed, cause its not satisfying 'till theres no more. :toast:
Finally, no need for ruff comments, I belive FUGGER is fully capable of dealing with me. ;)

No scrolling past 20 sticky threads on every page, and makes it easy for everyone to find the important posts :DWell, it's a work in progress... I have so far moved about 800 recent threads there and will continue to do so, time permitted. Few other guys are working on it as well, so soon front Intel section will go back to more of the XS-spirit :) People with nice OCing results will have more space to brag about, without their threads been burried 3 pages down, after not even one day of being up!
