XFX 7950GX2 M500 flash to M570 XXX?

Hi, ime getting a XFX 7950GX2 M500 tomorrow and id like to try and make it run as fast as its bigger brother M570 XXX through bios flash or sum else.

The 3 versions of XFX GX2:

M500:
GPU clock: 500MHz
Memory clock: 1,2GHz

M520:
GPU clock: 520MHz
Memory clock: 1,3GHz

M570:
GPU clock: 570MHz
Memory clock, 1,55GHz

The cards are equiped with 1,4 ns ram and RAMDACs at 400MHz.

PCB and the retail cooler look very mutch the same.

So i should be able to do it, right?

The reason i want to oc it, is to get more juice outta the card.


1. Ime gonna oc the card to m570 speed to see if gpu/mem can keep up at that speed.
2. If they cant give it more voltage?
3. If all goes well, flash to m570 speed (How?)

Would like some help on this.

the m70 uses different memory chips so no flashing of any gx2 to it. just use software to oc unless you gonna watecool and volt mod. check out reviews to find a common goal to shoot for. i've seen 600/800(x2) for the lucky ones

XFX M570 GDDR3 Chips

The memory IC's are Samsung GDDR3's with the part number K4J523240Q-BC14, which are rated at 1.429ns or 700MHz performance.

OK. What chips is the m500 using?
