It's free...it's sweet (damn nice maps, mostly indoors though). Has more of a classical type of multiplayer, not like BF2...but it's CTF does require that your flag be at the base when you bring your opponent's flag to be captured.
Lacking in weapons and very stressful on systems though....that and the controls for using grenades/bombs aren't obvious at first.

I remapped the grenade button to my mouse's click wheel. Helps me out a bit. Big Crunch runs it quite fine.

Is this going to be hosted on a cTx server? I'd like to see it take off.

Everything is a possibility now. Thanks,
Why did they decide to make this game free? Sucks for the people that paid for it when it came out. Like I did...even though I sold my copy along with my desktop anyway.

Made it free because noone ever played it when it wasnt free, servers were always empty, prob because of the sys requirements

Lets see...
It runs like crap even on high end rigs
It's slow paced
that's about it
Yeah I didn't like it much either and was very upset it ran like crap.
runs like crap...?
please explain
it runs fine on my comp, and im stuck with a prescott.
also, the game isn't really slow paced... if you ever have an encounter with someone, you have 3 seconds tops to kill or be killed.

3.75ghz conroe, 3gb ram, and a 715/801 x1900xt dips to 40 fps @ 1280*960 or whatever with no aa/af is considered "good"?
By slow paced I mean the game moves slow. Compare it to quake and you'll understand. Hell even CS moves faster.
oh i think i know what you mean now....
cs is wayyyyy too fast for me!!
and i have my res set at 1024x768 now with EVERYTHING MAXED...
im gonna upgrade res once i switch to conroe
i have vsync on and yes it does dip into the 40s.. or even 30s at times..
but 30+fps is average... 60+ is all you need.
you won't notice too much of a difference, if any at 75fps and above.
nice clocks on the xt btw!

if it runs like crap, you need to check your settings.... or update drivers
my single core venice and 6600GT run this game great
im looking forward to a server setup for this thing sometime, now if only eric (vap) had a working computer now....
It just never ran good and I had a Dual Core Opty 170 @ 2.7 and a x1900XTX and all. Although I had it when first released...I am sure it has improved since then. I probably had about 30 minutes logged on playing it and that is all.

Too many damn icons and things all over my screen. The interface gets in the way of the action. I also find it rather difficult to tell teams apart in TDM and such. Good thing friendly fire is rarely on in servers.

i can't tell teams apart in steam. teammates have icons in this game at least!!

Thanks for letting us know the multiplayer part is avalable as free download.
I played the single player on a 2800Mhz Opteron 144 and 7800Gt at 1024 and i had some dodgy slowdowns in the very end of the game. Felt like 5fps. But I guess thats rather bad programming than slow hardware.
