x1800 problem

hi guys.

i have a problem with x1800xt , for last 5 days sometimes when playing (3D) after a awile my pc freezes and monitor get with squares greens , yelows, purple ( like artifacts) and i have to Reset de PC , i already tryed diferent drivers , but same thing , but strange thing its that oly hapens ssometimes , and not in 3dmark , only in games ( sometimes) and scaning for artifacts with atitool also hapen same thing .


any sugests befora RMA ????

PS: and when this problem hapen also start VPU recover and sometimes after the artifacts i lost de monitor signal .

i have good temps --- 38c idle 44 full :(


there is a guy with a ASUS P5WDH with same VGA problems that already kill two X1900

sometimes when i go play FEAR or HL2 after a few minuts i got freeze and monitor all with color squares and then reboot .





strange thing is that i have same components ( PSU inclusive) since july and only for 5 days ago this start hapen , i already try diferente driveres and format the hard drive 3 or 4 times .

That sounds like something is getting too hot.. or your PSU is dying. Check your rails with a multimeter during gaming and note them when it reboots.

I had something similar with my x1900, turned out my PSU had a flaky connection in the 115/240 switch. So if its not heat, has to be power.

temps are Ok im on watercooling (40c idle // 46 full ) and i already tryed a diferent PSU and same thing.
