my asus x1900xtx makes a strange noise sounds like sizling steak.
I was using stock cooling then switched it to WC but the noise is still there louder.

I dont OC the card and the noise occures when the card is under load.(When playing game)

It is louder then my radiator fans an irritates me alot.

The temp is 50C(degree) under full load.

Any 1 experienced such problem?

Thank you

I hear noises when the card is under heavy stress as well but to me it sounds more like a chirping sound at timed intervals. It does it a lot when I run artifact scanning from ATI tool. Card still runs fine regardless of me hearing that noise, does your card still work fine or are you having some issues?

Weird. Mine does the same thing at very specific times in particular games -- like when I'm looking at a battle on a city wall in Rome:TW. Sounds more like chirping than anything else, very high-pitched and rhythmic.

I thought I was going nuts or the hardware was dying. Incidentally, are you all running NF4 boards?

From what I have heard is that it's the caps on the board or something similar under heavy stress that it actually makes a sound.

My x1900xt makes a high pitch squeal when I go into heavy 3D.
