I kinda liked that Nations At War mod,looked bright and pretty.Played well too.I looked at some screenshots of that Point of Existence mod,that looks cool to.

I third the notion.

I played PoE for Battlefield: Vietnam and once we switched to BF:2 and heard they were going ot make it, our little gaming group "couldn't wait" well, a year went by and we started playing other games and spent less time in BF2. Well, once PoE2 was released we all re-installed BF2 and have been happy gamers again.

To bad it's on the heels of a 2142 release.

I have played Desert Combat CTF and PoE2.
CTF was fun because I missed that style of play, mines become useful, and escaping in a buggy with the whole team on your ass is a heart palpatating thrill.

PoE2 seems to add more realism. You probably aren't in combat as often as vanilla BF2 unless you are playing front line. Choppers are definitely more fun, but a couple of the maps seem too wide open. Pure infantry combat is there on a couple maps as well for the "it's all vehicle combat" moaners.
